Welcome to Development and Alumni Relations at UC Davis!

We’re excited to have you join our dynamic team committed to advancing the mission of UC Davis through meaningful engagement, philanthropic support, and lifelong connections. At Development and Alumni Relations, we work collaboratively to support students, faculty, research, and the broader Aggie community.

To gain access to the systems you need, be sure to follow the two steps below:

1. Complete System Access Request Application and Complete the Privacy and Security Training (HIPAA)

Work with your supervisor to complete the System Access Request.

Privacy and Security Training (HIPAA):

Access the LMS course in the UC Learning Center. Once completed, download the course diploma (certificate of completion).

Email both documents over to [email protected].

2. Register for System Trainings

See the list below with direct links to register for the trainings in order to be granted access:

• Advancement Services Access- Register for DEVAR Systems Onboarding.  Registration is required in order to gain access to Advance. Once you have registered, watch the short videos below to become familiar with navigating Advance.
• Advance Inquiry -
  • Main Menu & Navigation
  • Basic Lookups
  • Advanced Lookups
  • Expert lookups
  • Entity Overview
  • Additional Entity Information
  • Entity Update
  • Reports
  • Context Sensitive Reports
• Advance Maintenance (Recommended for Analysts but not DOs) - Complete Inquiry in addition to the below:
  • How to Add a New Entity Record
  • How to Add an Address
  • How to Add a Telephone Number
  • How to Add an Email Address
  • How to Add a Web Address and Social Media Information
  • How to Add an Alias and or Nickname
• Gift Reporting Entry and Tracking (GREAT) - Complete the Inquiry LMS course.
  • GREAT Creator - Additionally complete the Cash Handling and Credit Card Handling courses. A member from the DEVAR Service team will email you to schedule a training.
  • GREAT Submitter - Additionally complete the Delegation of Authority Form and send to [email protected]. A member from the DEVAR Service team will email you to schedule a training.
• Reports You Build Yourself (RUBY) - Register for the RUBY LMS training course.
• Power BI - Register for Power BI LMS Training course.
• Give Site Editor - A member from the DEVAR Service team will email you to schedule a training.
• Anthology/iModules - If you marked this on your Security and Acknowledgement Form, a member from the DEVAR Service team will email the training materials and will grant access once the training materials have been completed.
• Development Staff -Prospect Management and Tracking System (PMATS) Inquiry or Maintenance - Email [email protected] for training to access. See the PMATS page for additional resources.
